Piley Rashid’s Eid
Emre Sarıca 04.04.2026
“For years, I have woken up early every morning, set up my stall, and tried to earn my living. I sell tomatoes and onions.
I am used to standing under the sun all day, but I am getting older now. My legs are not as strong as they used to be, and I get tired. That is why I cannot go out every day anymore. When I miss a day, I earn nothing.
Making ends meet has become harder for me with each passing day. When I heard you were coming, I came here. I joined the line early in the morning.
Meat is something we can only cook on Eid now. With the Qurbani meat I received today, I will make a meal I love.
I will wait for you again next year.”
