"I'm 11 years old. When I grow up I want to be a baker, because I love sweet bread. When I have my own bakery, I want to make it for everyone.

It takes me about 25 minutes to get to school, but I'm used to that distance. Before the well opened in our village, I was the one who fetched water every morning. School started at quarter to seven, and I had to wake up at five every morning for the walk to the water. I'd fetch water first, then rush to make it to school on time. I was always tired in class, always fighting sleep during lessons. Some evenings I had to go for water again, and there were times I was too exhausted to finish my homework.

Now everything is different. The well is so close to our house that anyone in the family can go and get water right away. In the mornings I can sleep as long as I need to, focus on my lessons, and have time for myself. I'm so thankful to everyone who gave us this happiness."
