The Qurbani process begins when an individual who wishes to have a sacrifice performed on their behalf sends the required amount—covering both the cost of the sacrifice and the distribution of the meat to those in need—to the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation.

As with all acts of worship, what matters most is the individual’s intention and consent.

By requesting IHH to carry out the Qurbani on their behalf, the donor expresses this intention and will.
It is not necessary for this to be stated verbally—according to Islamic principles, the act of making the request and completing the necessary steps is itself considered a valid declaration of intent.
