Cataract, which is an eye disease that mainly affects the elderly in Turkey, and can lead to blindness if untreated, is common in the world in general not only due to old age, but also malnutrition, exposure to strong sunlight for long periods and eye traumas.

Millions of people lose their sight because they cannot have surgery due to the lack of medical and financial resources, and continue their lives dependent on others.

As IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, with the cataract campaign we launched in 2007 until the present, we have spread light to more than 168 thousand people. We are continuing to be a ray of hope for cataract patients.
