Naji set up a makeshift table from rubble in the ruins of their destroyed home, using pieces of stone for himself and his wife. They break their fast with hummus, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a few pieces of bread. As they eat in silence, they recall memories of past Ramadans.
Yasmine Hassan, Gaza
A ceasefire has been declared in Gaza, but the prolonged blockade and repeated attacks have caused a severe food crisis. Hundreds of thousands of people are now at risk of starvation. With the ceasefire, more food aid can finally reach the region.
Apart from the efforts of a few humanitarian organizations, food aid remains inaccessible in Gaza. As one of these organizations, our foundation continues to stand with Gaza during Ramadan.
With your support, we aim to provide 200,000 meals in Gaza throughout Ramadan. You can share an Iftar meal with one person for $5.
