The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation launched a large-scale relief effort for the civilians facing a humanitarian crisis following the Israeli and U.S. attacks in Iran. Having previously sent four trucks to Iran, the foundation dispatched seven more trucks loaded with medicine, food packages, and basic necessities to the country.

The 5th International Symposium on Islamic Culture and Civilization, organized under the leadership of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Kocaeli University in collaboration with numerous partner institutions, was held in Kocaeli from May 8–10, 2026. Under the theme “Muslim Minorities,” the three-day symposium comprehensively addressed the legal, sociological, psychological, and jurisprudential issues faced by Muslim minorities living in various regions of the world.

The 5th International Symposium on Islamic Culture and Civilization, themed “Muslim Minorities,” has begun in Kocaeli. Organized under the leadership of IHH and the Faculty of Theology at Kocaeli University, with contributions from many institutions, the symposium is hosting speakers from 15 different countries.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has completed repairs on the Yakid El Ades Middle School in Aleppo, Syria—a school that sustained significant damage during the civil war—and reopened it for use.

Activists kidnapped during Israel’s attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla, which set out in April to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, have arrived in Istanbul.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation aims to reach approximately 3.5 million people in need across 61 countries this year with the slogan “Qurban: A Call for Unity.” The foundation has set the price per qurban share at 11,500 TL.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation organised a convoy of hundreds of vehicles to protest against the attacks carried out by Israel and the US in the region.

Following the Israeli and US attacks, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has sent a total of four trucks loaded with aid supplies from Istanbul and Mersin to the region. Furthermore, plans are in place to send another truck carrying medicines and medical supplies in the coming days.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation ran activities in Türkiye and on six continents during its Ramadan programme this year, thanks to donors. Through its global operations, the Foundation reached a total of 3,308,146 people.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation will carry out comprehensive humanitarian aid efforts both domestically and internationally under the slogan 'Ramadan: A Call to Unity”. As part of these efforts, the foundation aims to reach 3 million people in 66 countries.

A study entitled 'Syria Report: Forecasts, Proposals and Solutions', which was jointly prepared by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, the Cihannüma Association, and the Digital Memory Association, was presented to the public at a special event.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is delivering aid to families living in villages in the countryside of Ayn al-Arab(Kobani) via boats on the Euphrates River.

It was reported that the ceasefire declared in the context of the conflict in Syria has been extended for another 15 days. With the extension of the ceasefire, a humanitarian aid corridor to Ayn al-Arab was opened.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Search and Rescue and Disaster Management units continued to strengthen disaster preparedness and response capacity throughout 2025 with training, operations and cooperation activities carried out both domestically and internationally. A total of 4,249 activities were carried out throughout the year, directly benefiting 73,604 people, with 41,492 volunteers and staff actively participating in the activities.

Representatives of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation visited the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
