Syria 04.02.2014

Starting in 2011 and causing a huge destruction for 3 years, the dimension of humanitarian crisis in Syria reflects a tragedy that cannot be expressed in numbers. IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has been continuing its relief activities since the day when first victimization started in the region where millions of people were displaced and where even the most basic needs cannot be met. We have been working for 3 years for the people in Syria who are our brothers and neighbors with the supports of you.

The present condition is that whereas hundreds of thousands people hold on to life with the help of these aids, destructions and slaughters continue increasingly. In addition to the deaths resulting from attacks, deaths because of hunger began to take place also and the winter is a factor increasing these bad situations. So the need and emergency for aids are increasing day by day.

Because of these circumstances, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation which has been launching many relief campaigns for the needy people living in the region is getting ready for the biggest truck campaign it has carried out ever. Until now, transferring 2 thousand 100 trucks loaded of humanitarian aids to Syria, IHH will transfer 200 trucks loaded of humanitarian aid out of 500 trucks, that it planned to transfer between 1st January- 28 February, on Sunday, 23rd February with the programs organized throughout Turkey.

Some of the trucks will go through Cilvegözü and Ceylanpınar entry points, the rest will be stored in IHH’s logistic centers in Kilis and Reyhanlı.

Humanitarian aids will be delivered especially to millions of stuck people living along the Syrian border, then to the people living in inner places as Aleppo, Damascus and Yarmouk camps.
