IHH teams which travelled to Afghanistan on the occasion of the Orphan Solidarity Days came together with the orphans in the country.
IHH teams continue to organize programs for orphans in the country’s eastern regions. There was an Eid atmosphere on the first day of celebrations at Imam Bukhari Orphanage where 493 orphans stay. First day celebrations were held in Kabul, Jalalabad, Takhar and Badakhshan provinces of the country which has been suffering from wars for more than three decades.
The orphans warmly welcomed their guests from Turkey with a smile on their beautiful faces. The program which began with the delivery of stationery supplies and clothing to the orphans in the early hours of the morning continued with a picnic at a recreation spot later in the day. Various contests such as football, volleyball, cricket, arm wrestling and wrestling were held among orphans. Packages of Turkish delight prepared by volunteers of Başakşehir YEDEM were the gifts of the day.
After a lunch at the Imam Bukhari Orphanage, orphans were offered medical examinations by volunteer doctors. Later, aqiqah and nazhr animals donated by charity givers were slaughtered.
Beautiful children of the Imam Bukhari Orphanage happily completed the activities marking the Orphan Solidarity Days. The orphans sent their prayers to the charity givers who sent all those gifts to them.
