In Afghanistan, whose educational infrastructure has been devastated by wars and occupations for decades and where a large segment of the population live below the poverty line, students cannot even afford buying books. As part of the project to be implemented at the Kabul-based IHH Education Center, a library will be set up where high-school and university students that receive education at the center and local students and youngsters will have access to books. The library will initially have 3,000 books from history, literature, philosophy, and all scientific fields and the number will be raised to 5,000 with the inclusion of daily newspapers and periodicals.

As a result of the collaboration between the İHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs' Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund (SCHF), a total of 371,475 USD in cash assistance and 3,450 food parcels were distributed over the period of 9 months to 1,150 families living in the Racu region of Afrin district in Syria.
