Throughout 2021, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered 2.533 trucks of humanitarian aid supplies totaling 65.000 tons to civilians that are victims of the war living in refugee camps and settlement areas.
2.533 trucks of basic needs
In a written statement, IHH Deputy Chairman of Syrian Operations Cüneyt Kılıç explained that humanitarian aids in Syria were continuing. Kılıç said: “In 2021, we sent 2.533 trucks of humanitarian aid supplies to Syria from our borders in Hatay, Kilis and Şanlıurfa. These trucks consisted mainly of food provisions, bread, blankets, fuel, clothing, tents, hygiene packets and various other needed items. We distributed these aid items to families that are victims of the war and struggling to survive in tent cities and different settlement areas. The total number of trucks we have sent to Syria since 2011 has exceeded 24.000.”
Our aid efforts have been continuing since 2011
Kılıç added “As part of our operations in Syria, in 2021 we delivered aid supplies to more than 1 million 150 thousand civilians. Our aid operations will be continuing.”
IHH has been carrying out humanitarian aid efforts in different fields in Syria since the war broke in 2011.
