Assistance to Syrians from IHH and Al-Amal
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Saudi Arabian charity organization Al-Amal have sent 14 trucks consisting of humanitarian aid to Syria. The 14 trucks of the 140 aid convoy was sent off with a ceremony.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Saudi Arabian charity organization Al-Amal have sent 14 trucks consisting of humanitarian aid to Syria. The 14 trucks of the 140 aid convoy was sent off with a ceremony.

Al-Amal Director Muhammed Cemal who spoke at the ceremony held at the Reyhanli Logistics Centre said that they would continue to stand by Syrians and added that "The prepared relief materials will be delivered to families living in Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, Sudan and Syria."

Also speaking at the ceremony IHH Board Member Osman Atalay underlined that nine million people in Syria are in need of aid and said that "Regime forces just like Madaya are not allowing aid to be delivered to two million people living in 13 other regions. The international community needs to take action for these regions."

Atalay said that there are 350,000 refugees living in 280 camps along the Syrian Turkish border and that " the UN and the international community should immediately take action to resolve this crisis or else there may be thousands of children losing their lives to due to the cold."

Following the ceremony, 14 trucks consisting of aid collected with the support of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the Saudi Arabian charity organization Al-Amal headed to Syria. The aid sent to Syria included 50,000 food parcels, flour, 50,000 blankets, clothes, mattresses as well as items such as medical kits.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation continues its emergency aid efforts in Bangladesh following the floods that have affected 5.6 million people. So far, we have provided hot meals to 18,000 people and distributed food packages and dry goods to 500 families. Additionally, our set up mobile clinic is providing health services to 200 people daily.
