Cycling4Gaza was formed in the wake of 2009 Cast Lead operation by a group of youngsters in order to attract attention to the Israeli embargo on Gaza and raise awareness around the issue. Group members organize cycling tours in different parts of the world and this year they are cycling to raise funds for health projects of Britain-based charity MAP-Medical Aid for Palestinians in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

Founded in the aftermath of Sabra and Shatila massacres, MAP-Medical Aid for Palestinians provides health assistance to Palestinians in refugee camps and in the Gaza Strip. Maternal and child health, equipment to hospitals, and first aid training are some of the projects the medical organization is planning to initiate in Lebanon.
