753 People Dead in Flood Disaster in Indonesia
Severe monsoon rains striking Indonesia—particularly the island of Sumatra—have triggered large-scale floods and landslides. The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is providing assistance to those affected by the disaster.
Indonesia 03.12.2025

The disaster, which continues to impact various parts of the country, has caused extensive damage across hundreds of settlements. So far, 753 people have lost their lives and 2,600 have been injured. An additional 650 people are still missing, and 576,300 residents have been displaced. Relief efforts in several isolated villages remain difficult due to blocked roads and damaged communication lines. Authorities have warned that further rainfall could create new risks and urged the public to remain vigilant.

IHH Supports Flood Victims

As part of emergency relief operations in the affected areas, IHH has distributed food parcels to 500 families. A total of 2,400 people benefited from these supplies, and the foundation also served hot meals to 1,500 individuals.
