Flood victims in Ağrı given supplies
People who were affected by the flooding in the city of Ağrı were given blankets, clothes and kitchen utensils. Seventeen families were distributed sofas and carpets.
Turkey 27.07.2010

A large number of houses and offices were submerged in Ağrı when torrential rains caused a flooding a week earlier. Overflowing Taşlıçay and Murat rivers in the city center submerged dozens of houses built in the riverbeds in Fırat, 100 Yıl and Gazi neighborhoods.

Rushing to the help of Ağrı residents stricken by the flooding, aid workers from the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered blankets, clothes and kitchen utensils to the people in affected areas. Furthermore, 17 families who lost their possessions to the flooding were given sofas and carpets.

The disaster-stricken residents who received aid expressed gratitude to the benevolent people over the help.
