Israel, which has kept the Gaza Strip under strict embargo for years preventing entry of even basic supplies, opened dams in eastern Gaza and buried certain areas in Gaza under water.

The Palestinian authorities in Gaza set up a crisis center to coordinate rescue and evacuation works. IHH officials at the Gaza office also took part in discussions at the center. The IHH team surveyed the affected areas and distributed blankets and food supplies to 103 families.
