Hüseyin Oruç, member of the IHH executive board, represented the foundation at the meeting that was attended by 46 executives of 32 organizations from 12 countries.
All the participants agreed that the embargo imposed on Gaza should be lifted and entry of humanitarian aid into the region should be allowed. To this end, taking help from press and NGOs, and exerting pressure on governments were suggested.
Urgent necessities were designated and necessary preparations were initiated to deliver humanitarian materials to Gaza safely.
Participant organizations were given opportunity to speak about what they have done for Gaza, and Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar were thanked for extending large amounts of aid to the region.
Abdulaziz bin Mohamed Arrukban, UN's special humanitarian envoy, said "It is time to act. Time of speaking has past. Human dignity was harmed in Gaza. It is pleasing that Muslim and non-Muslim, western and eastern, governmental and nongovernmental organizations join their resources and strive to do something in the name of humanity."
The participant organizations agreed on a decision to act together in regards to aid organization.
