
According to official figures, more than 20,000 people have lost their lives in the civil war that broke in April 2023. More than 14 million people have been forced to migrate, while 25 million others are facing famine. In regions where access to basic necessities has become increasingly difficult for the people in Sudan, IHH provide comprehensive aid in the areas of food, water, health, hygiene, education and shelter. Since the beginning of the war, the foundation has delivered a total of 333 containers of aid to the region via eight ‘Goodness Ships’. 13 trucks of aid supplies were also dispatched to the region not long ago.
Hot meals for 227,671 people
In 2025, 90,799 kg. of meat, 95,536 food parcels along with hot meals were distributed to 227,671 people. In areas where access to drinking water is scarce, 1,973,400 lt. of drinking water were delivered. In terms of health, 2,080 people underwent health screenings; and 300 students received stationery sets.

Furthermore, the foundation delivered cash assistance to 5,534 families to meet their basic needs; for hygiene and shelter needs, we distributed 220,032 packages of sanitary pads, 53,568 packages of diapers for children and adults, 10,040 blankets, 944 pairs of slippers, and 500 items of clothing.

Food supplies
With regards of food, 121,956 packets of pasta, 10,192 kg. of rice, 6,000 kg. of chickpeas, 4,000 kg. of dried beans, 4,000 kg. of bulgur, 4,000 kg. of green lentils, 5,660 lt. of cooking oil, 13,504 boxes of biscuits, 84,454 jars of jam and 1,560 packages of halva were delivered to those in need.

To meet hygiene needs, 31,600 packs of dishwashing detergent and 41,696 packs of laundry detergents were distributed, while 5,291 pairs of shoes were distributed to children and adults.
