"One thing we've learned is that peace doesn't come overnight"
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Al Haj Murad Ibrahim said: "We have held onto our own identity from the start. We have a history unique to us; that's why, from the very moment the Spanish arrived, we fought to become an independent entity. Now we are at a historic turning point. God willing, the first elections in the region will be held this coming September. These elections are not an ordinary, routine political vote; they will be the reflection, within society, of the peace process we have carried out for many years. For the first time, the people will decide about their own future. One thing we have lived through and learned in Bangsamoro is that peace doesn't come overnight. But despite all the hardships we've faced, we fully believe that by acting in unity we will successfully complete this process."

"May the upcoming elections bring good fortune to the Moro people"
Speaking at the event, IHH Board of Trustees Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Oruç said: "We are honored today by the presence of Moro Muslims' leader and United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) Chairman Al Haj Murad Ibrahim at our IHH Ankara Building. We hope that the first regular parliamentary elections planned to be held in Bangsamoro on September 14, 2026 will bring good fortune to the Moro people, the wider region, and the Islamic world as a whole; we extend our gratitude for your participation in this special gathering that unites our hearts within the bonds of Islamic brotherhood, and we hope your valuable support continues throughout the process of building the Moro people's future."
