Intense rainfall in eastern Bangladesh and the opening of dam gates in India have led to floods that have affected 5.6 million people. Residential areas and agricultural lands are submerged, and at least 67 people have lost their lives.
18,000 Hot Meals
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation sprang into action immediately after the flood struck. In the initial phase of their emergency aid efforts, the foundation has provided hot meals to 18,000 people and distributed food packages and dry goods to 500 families.
Every day 200 People Receive Health Services
As part of our health aid efforts, we are offering medical examinations, diagnoses, and medication to affected families in temporary protection camps. Our mobile clinic regularly provides health services to 200 people each day.
IHH continues its emergency aid efforts, primarily in the cities of Feni, Cumilla, Noakhali, and Lakhmipur.
