Violent clashes in the Southern region of Kirgizstan continue to rise. According to official records recent violent incidents killed 189 in Kyrgyzstan. Whereas unofficial accounts say that more than 2,000 people died during the conflicts and number of the wounded already reached 5,000. It is feared that the number of casualties may rise. Thousands of people have fled their homes. 

An emergency relief team has been sent to Kyrgyzstan. The team consists of 4 aid workers, including 2 doctors. Surgeons Ali Alemdar and Giray Yavuz will be delivering emergency treatment to the injured. 

The rest of the relief team will be helping to coordinate the aid activities in Kyrgyzstan together with IHH’s partner organization in the country. Humanitarian aid supplies will be distributed to those families who fled their homes because of the violent conflicts.
