Africa, Kenya 12.06.2012
Leaving Kenyan capital Nairobi for Daadab Refugee Camp with IHH aid coordinator and a driver our team's vehicle was stopped by an unknown attackers who started to shoot directly at Abdullah Özkaya. The attackers left our team after they collected the belongings. Taken to the hospital by paramedics Abdullah Özkaya transformed another hospital after the first treatment. The rest of the team is reported as safe and sound. We are concerned that it was a planned attack.
At the very recent moment IHH officials reached Abdullah Özkaya by telephone and confirmed that he is conscious and in a good state of health.
