The death toll from the worst floods in Thailand in the last 50 years is reported to be 315. Floods have submerged 30 out of 77 major cities, damaged at least 700,000 houses and affected more than 2m people nationwide. The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is sending an emergency relief team to Bangkok to help flood survivors.
The team will carry out relief efforts in Thailand’s affected areas and conduct field studies for further relief activities.
The team has completed preparations and is flying Friday night to the capital Bangkok, one of the worst affected cities in the flooding.
