IHH and Qatar Charity delivered food aid to Syria’s Cinderes town to help families who were affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes that took place on February 6, 2023.
The natural disaster that hit Türkiye and parts of Syria also caused major destruction in the Cinderes town located in Afrin, Northwest Syria.
In order to meet the basic food needs of the earthquake victims, IHH together with Qatar Charity distributed 1,550 food parcels to the families in the area who are still affected by the aftermath of the earthquake.
7,750 people benefited
7,750 people living in 19 different tent camps in Cinderes town benefited from the distribution of food parcels containing basic food supplies such as dried pulses, breakfast products, tomato paste and oil.
In its effort to heal the wounds caused by the Kahramanmaraş earthquake, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation continues to help the natural disaster victims in Türkiye and Syria through various projects.
