Aid from IHH and Kuwait Red Crescent to Syria
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Kuwait Red Crescent have sent 15 trucks carrying much needed food and medicine for the people of Syria.

In Syria’s six years long conflict the civilian has affected the most. According to official figures, more than 400,000 people have lost their lives, 1.5 million people living in more than 20 regions of the country cannot get help. Especially, the children, women and old people are trying to continue their lives with the risk of death, due to starvation.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has given hope to the oppressed people of Syria by collaborating with various institutions since the break of the conflict.

With this aim, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Kuwait Red Crescent sent 15 aid trucks consisting of 10 thousand baby packs and 10 thousand hygiene packages to Syria's Idlib through Cilvegozu Border Gate in Reyhanli district of Hatay

Aid to reach Aleppo evacuees

Speaking before the departure, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Gulf states representative Vakar Necmettin, said they are trying to meet the needs of Syrian families by providing aid.

15 trucks consisting of 10 thousand baby packs and 10 thousand cleaning packs were sent for distribution to Syrian families in the rural villages of Idlib. Noting that they had been evacuated from Aleppo and sent to the villages, Necmettin said that the aid would continue.

Khalid al Mutairi, the Kuwait Red Crescent Emergency Relief Officer, said, "It is certain that this assistance will cover a very small part of the need, but hopefully this is the beginning of our great aid work. I intend that these efforts will continue to grow."

More than 300 shopkeepers in Istanbul’s Sarıyer district will donate today’s earnings to Gaza through the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation. Speaking at the press conference organized for the aid campaign, Yasin Çalışkan, a member of the IHH Sarıyer District Executive Board, said: “More than 300 of our shopkeepers in Sarıyer’s İstinye, Pınar, Ferahevler and Yeniköy neighborhoods have decided to donate today’s earnings to Gaza. With the event titled ‘My Earnings Turn into Goodness in Gaza,’ our shopkeepers are both taking on an important responsibility and creating social awareness by donating their income to Gaza.”
