IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation distributed 300 parcels of food to the indigent families in Libya’s capital Tripoli.
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation keeps working to help victims of the clashes in Libya as a result of the Libyan revolution that happened in 2011. In this regard IHH team in the region delivered food aid to 300 families out of which158 are visually impaired. IHH team, who aimed to cheer up the families just before Eid al-Adha, also paid official visits. The team, who visited Tripoli municipality and similar civil offices, took steps to develop the relations between Turkey.
The Goal Is to Alleviate the Suffering
IHH Executive Board member Ahmet Sarıkurt said that aid was delivered to the families of 158 visually impaired persons who are members of Nor Foundation for the Disabled.
The food hampers contained sugar, olive oil, potatoes, pasta and similar food. Sarıkurt, mentioned that these aids aimed to alleviate the suffering of the families a tiny bit.
Mr. Sarıkurt also mentioned that IHH is trying to get Nor Foundation for the Disabled establish contact with NGOs operating in the same field in Turkey for the purpose of delivering necessary and sharing know-know.
Libyan Students Headed to Turkey
International Student Organizations Federation (UDEF) president Mehmet Ali Bolat also attended the visits. Bolat officially took steps regarding students who will come to Turkey from Libya to study.
