IHH visited WAMY.
Representatives of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation visited the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

During the visit, potential joint humanitarian aid projects between the two organisations were discussed. Those present included Durmuş Aydın, a member of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation's Board of Trustees; Hasan Aynacı, the Gulf Special Representative; Emre Kaya, the Head of the International Programmes Department; Muhammed Beşir Beşir, the Coordinator of the Gulf and Arab Countries Relations Unit; and Umut Bilgin, the Coordinator of the Middle East Unit. The discussions covered regional and global humanitarian crises, opportunities for cooperation in addressing these crises, and ways to enhance mutual experience sharing and coordination.

During the meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General and Board Members of WAMY, the importance of existing and potential cooperation between the two organisations was emphasised. Both organisations expressed their mutual aspiration to develop sustainable and effective joint projects, particularly in the areas of youth work, humanitarian aid activities, social development projects and work in crisis areas.

The visit is expected to contribute to strengthening relations between the two organisations and paving the way for new steps towards concrete cooperation in the future.

In 2025, IHH built 1,156 water wells in 18 countries.
In 2025, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation built water wells in 18 countries. While 1,009 wells were opened during the year, construction work continues on the remaining 147. In total, the foundation has opened 16,430 water wells in 44 countries in the last 25 years, including the newly opened ones.
