Prayers were made to accompany the opening of the mosque.
The “Ihsan and Wafaa” mosque was built on a closed space of 220m2 and can host up to 300 people.
During the opening speech, Fethullah Badem, Representative of the IHH Istanbul Organization for Corporate Affairs explained that they constructed a mosque on a land donated by the Ihsan and Wafaa Association so there would be a place for worship. “We are witnessing a new drama every day in Syria where the civil war is continuing. Last year, the Ihsan and Wafaa Association supported our briquette home project. Today, we are opening the Ihsan and Wafaa Mosque that we constructed during this year again with their support,” Badem said.
Abdullah Al-Astal, Chairman of the Ihsan and Wafaa Association said, “We are so delighted to attend the opening of yet another project we materialized in Syria. The “Ihsan and Wafaa” Mosque will be a place where the people living in this region will be able to perform worship in the congregation. We give our praise and thanks to Allah that gave us this opportunity.”
The mosque was opened for worship following speeches and ribbon cutting.
