Omani minister Saleh was received by Durmuş Aydın, IHH deputy chairman responsible for foreign affairs and IHH executive board members Ahmet Sarıkurt and İsmail Osmani. Gazan minister Er-Ragip who was also in Turkey to attend several meetings, also paid a visit to the IHH and received information about the IHH’s relief activities.

Saleh said he is very pleased with the IHH’s aid activities all over the world, adding that all the doors are open for the IHH in Oman. He also wished further success to the foundation.

For his part, Er-Ragip said the Mavi Marmara ship, which was attacked by Israel on its way to Gaza in 2010, is of crucial importance for Gaza, adding that he wants to pay a visit to the ship which is docked at Haliç Shipyards in İstanbul. He said poems and eulogies are written for the memory of Mavi Marmara in Gaza, adding that the mission undertaken by Mavi Marmara has a lot of importance for the region.

Ships are ready, the Freedom Flotilla sail towards Gaza!
Bülent Yıldırım, the President of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), inspected two purchased ships for the International Freedom Flotilla. Yıldırım stated, "This cargo ship has a capacity of 5,500 tons and its name is Anadolu. It will carry our country's aid and compassion to Gaza. The name of other ship is Vicdan (Conscience). This ship will accommodate conscientious activists from around the world and deliver the conscience of the world to the shores of Gaza."
