With this year’s “Ramadan Brings Hope” slogan, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation teams traveled to Lebanon to deliver donors’ aid to 57.815 people in the capital Beirut and surrounding areas.
Food packets to almost 50.000 people
49.250 people benefitted from IHH’s food aid, and 3.865 people benefitted from zakat and fitr. IHH teams distributed eid clothing to 1.500 children living in the region, as well as iftar meals to 3.200 people. The Lebanese, and Palestinian and Syrian refugees in the country also benefitted from this aid. In addition, needy families of the Turkish society living in Beirut also benefited from IHH’s aid.
Atakan Özyurt, Bilal Hancı and Fatih Yasın from the Kafalar Youtube team also participated in the aid distributions in Lebanon.
Struggle against Covid-19
IHH teams that are in the region to distribute Ramadan also delivered medical aid to Palestinians living in the Elhelva Refugee Camp in Sayda, Lebanon. A ventilator, syringe pumps, beds and medical equipment were delivered to one of the wards of the Aksa Hospital to assist in the struggle against the Coronavirus pandemic.
To support kindness
Donors can contribute their zakat, fitr, sadaqah and food packages to IHH’s caravan of kindness for the Muslims suffering oppression, the aggrieved and needy in various countries, and can support our aid campaigns that will continue throughout the month of Ramadan.
