The Help to the Flood Victims in Indonesia
IHH supported the families who were affected by the flood disaster that hit the Tangse district of Indonesia. Food aid and diapers were provided to the families who are affected by the flood.

Recently, the flood disaster was lived in the area of Tangse which is connected to Aceh Pidie in Indonesia. The settlements on both sides of the river, were damaged largely by the flood. The masses that are suddenly caught by the flood tried to run away from the area in panic.

1000 houses, that are located in the closed regions on the same river line, became unusable. 20 people lost their lives due to the flood while 8 others have not been heard of since the flood.

The IHH Indonesia Coordinator Resad Baser who happens to be in Aceh, started to relief works right after the flood disaster. The IHH team delivered food aid packages and diapers to the deprived families. Besides, the IHH team provided health screening to the people in the flood hit region by bringing the ambulance and medical stuff. The IHH team is still working to reach the orphan children who lost their families during the flood.

Ships are ready, the Freedom Flotilla sail towards Gaza!
Bülent Yıldırım, the President of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), inspected two purchased ships for the International Freedom Flotilla. Yıldırım stated, "This cargo ship has a capacity of 5,500 tons and its name is Anadolu. It will carry our country's aid and compassion to Gaza. The name of other ship is Vicdan (Conscience). This ship will accommodate conscientious activists from around the world and deliver the conscience of the world to the shores of Gaza."
