Orphan Sponsorship Program that IHH has been carrying out since 2007 has reached out to 54.000 orphans as the organization added 7 more countries to the territories covered by its program.
In 2007, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foudation has initiated orphan-care sponsorship program with the goal of preparing orphan children to the future. The program is sponsoring up to 54.000 children now.
New countries are added on to the list of countries covered by the program. By 2015 IHH has added seven more countries from where orphans will be included in the sponsorship program.
The new additions are as follows:
AFRICA: Tunisia, Kenya, Eritrea
BALKANS: Romania
CENTRAL ASIA: Eastern Turkistan
MIDDLE EAST: Iran
SOUTH EAST ASIA: India
Hence the number of countries covered by Orphan Sponsorship Program of IHH reached fifty-one worldwide.
IHH also offers periodic financial assistance to the orphan children. In 2014 in more than a hundred countries periodic financial assistance was provided to over 500.000 children of which, 250.000 were Syrian.
IHH is planning to included Mozambique, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Azerbaijan, Myanmar, Brazil and Vietnam to the countries covered by Orphan Sponsorship Program.
