Our teams, who went to various regions as a part of 'Orphans Solidarity Days', provided clothing, stationery, health check-ups, marriage and circumcision ceremonies, bedding, food, and picnic food depending on the needs of the orphans. Moreover, our teams carried out projects that would help orphan families sustain themselves economically by providing them sewing machines, sesame grinders, milking machines, and shops.
On the 'Orphan Solidarity Days', apart from realising projects for orphans, we had the opportunity to develop one to one relationships with the partner organisations in the regions visited , to present recommendations for the future, and to closely monitor, and report on orphan works. Due to the effectiveness of the programmes, the number of sponsored orphan children reached 17,624 from approximately 16 thousand.
Various programmes were carried out during the Orphan Solidarity Days in Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Burkina Faso, the Philippines, Ethiopia, Sudan, Arakan, Albania, Zanzibar, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Chad, Kyrgyzstan, Somalia, Patani and various projects were also accomplished. The aim was to make orphans feel that they are not alone. Our donors can support one orphan by paying 70 TL per month.
