Egyptian authorities refused to allow Gaza convoy enter Egypt through Nuweiba port on 25 December. In reaction convoy participants and Aqaba residents held a demonstration to protest the decision. Protestors formed a human chain and shouted slogans like “Gaza is waiting for us, Egypt is stopping us” and “We will enter Gaza, no turning back.” A press conference was held and Turkish, British and US governments were urged to take action, recalling there were citizens of these countries in the convoy. Convoy officials called on Turkish President and PM to persuade Egyptian authorities to grant the convoy entry into Egypt and Gaza.
