The IHH Disaster Management Department was restructured in 2020 in accordance with a comprehensive and integrated disaster management approach, building upon a unit originally established in 2009 to conduct search and rescue and emergency relief operations in a more professional and systematic manner. As of 2025, the IHH Disaster Management Department has mobilized more than 4,000 volunteers serving in the fields of search and rescue, psychosocial support, and medical rescue. In this report, readers will find detailed information on the training programmes, operational activities, search and rescue exercises, as well as the national and international events in which our Disaster Management Department has participated both within Türkiye and abroad.
