IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation distributed 41,000 shares of sacrificial animals donated by charitable people to people in need during Qurban period.

Our teams carried out sacrificial slaughters and meat distributions in 101 countries around the world and 66 city and district centers across Turkey on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Eid al-Adha, taking into account the differences in start of the festival by country.

IHH, which has undertaken the mission of supporting people in regions hit by poverty, war, and natural disaster, has delivered this year the Qurban sacrifices entrusted by donors to people in need.

Spreading to different parts of the globe, IHH teams firstly performed Qurban sacrifices and meat distributions in such countries as Macedonia, Albania, and Turkey, which marked Eid al-Adha on Thursday. The teams then carried out sacrifice rituals and meat deliveries in the countries that celebrated Eid al-Adha on Friday and in Arakan, which marked Eid on Saturday.

2m people receive Qurban meat

The foundation distributed the meat from 41,000 shares of sacrificial animals amongst impoverished and disadvantaged people. In addition to reaching out to two million people in 101 countries in total, IHH teams also conducted fieldwork, assessed needs of local populations, and reported the findings for prospective projects.

Fraternal ties empowered

In its efforts to deliver Qurban meat to people in need, IHH reached out to and embraced local people to build fraternal bridges between societies and bring hope to the disadvantaged.

By delivering Qurban animals donated to IHH by donors through delegation to Muslims around the world, the foundation strengthened feelings of brotherhood, sharing, and solidarity among Muslim societies.
