A large-scale campaign was launched by IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation on 10 December, World Human Rights Day with the aim of raising awareness about rights violations in Syria and around the world.
This “Our Route is Kindness, Our Load Humanity” themed organization that began with 350 trucks of humanitarian aid sent from 81 cities of Turkey to Syria will continue throughout the winter months.
This campaign aims to help heal the wounds of the victims of war, natural disasters and disease not only in Syria, but in geographies all around the world. It will continue with the contributions of donors in Turkey and various other countries of the world.
The trucks reached the Syrian border
Zeki Tahiroğlu, IHH Reyhanlı Region Office Syrian Operations Coordinator said “The aid trucks that have reached the region will be sent to Syria over the Cilvegözü border in the Reyhanlı province of Hatay and the Öncüpınar border in Kilis, and the aid will be distributed to the people in the region according to the needs.”
Tahiroğlu added, “As in the past 10 years, our aid operations for the victims in Syria will continue with the contributions of our donors in Turkey and other countries of the world.”
After customs procedures, IHH aid trucks carrying supplies including food, flour, blankets, fuel, stoves, hygiene packets and winter clothing began to cross the Syrian border.
