IHH transfers humanitarian aid to Syria from three main entry points

As a result of the incidents continuing nearly for three years, many Syrians have been taking refuge in neighboring countries especially Turkey or in some regions near country borders. Those who cannot leave Syria is trying to survive with humanitarian assistance coming from Turkey.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is transferring relief items as foods, medicines and sheltering materials to the needy people in Syria by the entry points in Hatay, Kilis and Şanlıurfa.

Humanitarian assistance are being transported to as far as buffer areas by trucks loaded in Turkey and here they are transmitted to other trucks and sent to the cities as Hama, Aleppo, Homs, Ar-Raqqah, Dayr al-Zawr and Damascus according to the need.

¨The humanitarian assistance are on target¨

Regime powers are occasionally attacking to even the camps where Syrians have taken shelter in Bab al-Hawa entry point. Areas near entry points as Bal al-Hawa that is located across Cilvegözü and Bab al-Salam that is located across Öncüpınar are constantly being bombed. In more interior areas humanitarian relief organisations are constantly on the target. It can be clearly seen that the aim of all this is to prevprevrelief materials to be conveyed to the people in need.

Despite everything, IHH's teams risking their lives are working with an effort to transport relief materials to Syrians who are living in difficult conditions.

Support for 23 camps from IHH

IHH continues to transfer relief materials to 23 camps all that are near Turkish border and where civilians fleeing from civil war in Syria live. As attacks to civilians continue, the number of people escaping from inner regions and taking shelter in refugee camps increase and this causes aid items fail to satisfy the need.

The largest refuge camp near Turkish border is Atmeh camp where nearly 30 thousand people are struggling to live in difficult conditions. Most of the people living in the camp are women and children.

Humanitarian relives continue to be transferred to this camp. Deaths resulting from cold weather cannot be prevented as the winter is heavy and the aids are insufficient. Recently in Atmeh camp, two children froze to death one of whom was 6 months old and the other one was 2 two years old.
