The coordinator of the IHH Orphanages Reşat Başer stated, while giving a speech at the planting ceremony, that the IHH has started a “Make Room for an Orphan in your World” campaign from the 1st of February to the 31st of March in order to share with the world the truth about orphans and leave behind permanent works for the children of tomorrow which, in return, will hopefully raise awareness concerning orphans in Turkey and all around the world.

Başer, in the framework of the Orphan Solidarity Days event, from the 16th to the 31st of March, has stated that it has been set forth to provide assistance with 230 projects in fields such as education, healthcare, social services, and global support which will reach 30 thousand orphans in Turkey and 39 other countries worldwide.

“Within the scope of the Orphan Solidarity Days event, various activities have been organised in Istanbul and 36 other provinces,” says Başer while also stating that “today we have carried out our event with ‘a green sapling to the ground, a warm greeting to the heart’ slogans in all provinces.

Following the speech, with 130 orphans and their families, 3 thousand maritime pine saplings were planted.b
