The event schedule began with screening of videos from “Road to Palestine is Open” convoy which stopped over in Adapazari (Sakarya) before heading to Palestine. An opening speech by Ruhi Ademoglu, President of the Humanitarian Aid Association followed the screening.

Ademoglu, in his speech, said that they work for the campaign in order to create awareness among the people of Sakarya and incorporate them into their endeavors. Ademoglu also mentioned that people of Sakarya are very pleased to compete in good deeds and beneficence and will be happy to support this campaign just like every other humanitarian aid campaign.

Following Ademoglu’s speech, Ahmet Emin Dag and Ismail Yilmaz, Members of the Administrative Board of IHH who represented the Foundation at the event, gave speeches on the significance of Palestine and what needs to be done for the people of Palestine who are constantly oppressed by the Israeli embargo.
