As part of IHH’s winter campaign, we delivered needed aid to war victims and families in need in Syria. Coats, boots, mattresses, stoves and blankets have been distributed to families living in camps as well as other areas. A total of 22,504 families (97,589 people) have benefited from this program.
IHH's Syria Media Officer Selim Tosun said that difficult winter conditions are effecting these families badly; he said that the foundation focused on people living in camps as well as those struggling to live among the rubbles.
Tosun stated that "As part of the winter aid campaign that we launched in December 2024, we delivered various winter aid materials to families living in camps and settlements in different regions of Syria for about three months, until the end of February 2025. In the campaign, we distributed 3,100 tons of fuel, 43,713 coats, 34,269 pairs of boots, 7,613 sponge mattresses, 3,441 stoves, and 46,446 blankets in Syria. These aid materials reached 22,504 families or 97,589 people."
Tosun also mentioned that with the arrival of Ramadan, their aid efforts have intensified, that "Just like in the winter season, we will not leave the people of Syria alone during Ramadan. Our support will continue with various activities such as iftar, food parcels, holiday gifts, zakat, and fitra distributions."
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has been carrying out aid activities in Syria since 2011.
