54,000 loaves of bread for camps in Syria per day
Through a partnership between the IHH and the İnsan Charity Foundation, and with financial support from The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 54,000 loaves of bread are supplied daily to civilians living in camps in the countryside of Idlib province in northern Syria

Every day, 54,000 loaves of bread are distributed to civilians living in tent camps in the Harbenuş, Ma'arrat Misrin, and Kafr Yahmul regions of the countryside in Syria's Idlib province as part of the project, which is implemented with the cooperation of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the İnsan Charity Organization and with funding support from The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

IHH's Syria Activities media officer Selim Tosun stated in a statement that the initiative helps the local economy and makes it possible for individuals in need to get free bread.

Tosun stated that the initiative is carried out in four phases, "To begin, wheat is obtained from local farmers in the countryside of Idlib and then ground into flour. Loaves of bread made from these flours are then packaged for sale. There are six loaves of Syrian bread in each packet. In the Idlib countryside, we provide 9,000 parcels every day, which is equivalent to 54,000 loaves of bread, to 4,200 needy families living in 31 separate tent camps."

Selim Tosun also stated the following about the project:

"From wheat production to bread distribution, we're here to enable every step in the wheat value chain to succeed so that more people can make a living. Bread is one of the most fundamental necessities, and we make sure that those in need always have access to it by reinforcing their food security.

IHH has been providing humanitarian aid in Syria in the fields of food, education, shelter, and healthcare since the start of the civil war in 2011.
