Orphans need your help
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation will be organizing this year’s Orphan Solidarity Days in September, October and November. This project, that will benefit almost 130 thousand orphans and their families, needs the support and donations of donors.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation that will be organizing the 9th Orphan Solidarity Day (OSD) this year, will deliver kindness to 128 thousand 669 orphans and their families. Orphan Solidarity Days, that will contribute to 607 projects, will be held in the months of September, October and November, and organized in 33 countries including Turkey.

As a part of the OSD project, among the IHH teams accompanied by orphan sponsors, there will be representatives from NGOs in Turkey and abroad, teachers, activists, press and media members, figures from the world of literature and art, academics, health officials and volunteers from all professions.

Donors can contribute to materializing these projects and bringing joy to orphans as individuals; as institutional or volunteer groups by supporting one or more of the OSD projects. Our donors can obtain information regarding the OSD projects or speak to IHH officials about the project they want to support by calling 0212 631 2121.

33 countries and regions planned for these projects  

Africa: Ethiopia, Kenya, Niger, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Egypt and Ruanda.

Asia: Afghanistan, Arakan, Bangladesh, Philippines (Moro), Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand (Patani), Indonesia (Aceh) and India.

Balkans: Albania, Bosnia, Montenegro, Makedonia and Serbia (Presov).

Middle-East: Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Palestine and Yemen.

We will materialize 607 projects

Among the projects we plan as a part of this organization are the repairs and construction of houses, social aid projects such as greenhouse cultivations and the distribution of livestock for dairy produce, circumcision (sunnet) organizations, healthcare aid projects including the distribution of hygiene packets, health check-ups; education aid projects including the construction of schools, distribution of stationary supplies and cultural aid projects including trips, kite festival organizations, education grant aid; poem, composition, picture and general knowledge competitions.

What are Orphan Solidarity Days?

Orphan Solidarity Days are organized by IHH visiting the countries and regions where we carry out orphan aid operations and materializing various activities in these regions.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is sending four trucks of aid materials to Ukraine people affected by the Russia-Ukraine war as part of its winter aid campaign. The aid trucks departed from the IHH's Emre Yerli Disaster Management and Logistics Centre in Tuzla.
