Aid efforts of organizations and donors in Turkey for the victims of war and civilians in need in Syria whose lives become more difficult in the winter season are continuing.
The Quran and Sunnah Group’s December’s “A Project A Month” aid came in the form of 56 trucks of coal delivered to various refugee camps in Syria via IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation.
The trucks were sent off with ceremonies held at the IHH Logistic Centers in the Reyhanlı province of Hatay and Kilis.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Quran and Sunnah Group representative Ali Ihsan Ergin said they were delighted to be able to support the Syrian families that are struggling to survive the freezing winter conditions. Ergin said many charitable people are supporting the project so they can do more to help the people who are facing the tragedy going on in Syria. “For more than 11 years now, this tragedy has been happening in front of the whole world. Here, humanity is under an important test of conscience.”
Ergin continued:
“As the Quran and Sunnah Group, instead of simply ignoring the situation we are preparing an aid project every month with the aim of supporting the oppressed. Our December project was to deliver 56 trucks of coal to the country. We would like to offer our gratitude to The Quran and Sunnah Group and all those that donated.”
The coal has been distributed to war victim families living in Idlib and other various settlement areas.
