Turkish people, who have been mobilized to extend a helping hand to Syrians who have been suffering from bombardments over the past two years, continue their efforts.
A total of 91 truckloads of aid were collected for Syrians as part of the recently-launched “Winter is coming… Bread and blankets for Syria” aid campaign. The aid items, which were taken to the oppressed people of Syria by IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, include basic needs such as flour, canned food, dried food, blankets, cleaning supplies, clothes, shoes etc.
Twenty-five truckloads of aid was collected in Konya thanks to the efforts of Anatolia Solidarity Association (AYDER), 12 truckloads of aid was collected in Bursa thanks to the efforts of humanitarian relief organizations and IHH volunteers, 18 truckloads of aid was collected in Sakarya, one truckload of aid was collected in Antalya, six truckloads of aid was collected in Kayseri, four truckloads of aid was collected in Ankara, three truckloads of aid was collected in Gaziantep, two truckloads of aid was collected in Zonguldak, two truckloads of aid was collected in Çorum, five truckloads of aid was collected in Van, two truckloads of aid was collected in İzmir, two truckloads of aid was collected in İzmit, seven truckloads of aid was collected in Düzce, one truckload of aid was collected in Yalova and Balıkesir each.
The aid items were delivered to Syrians by representatives from various relief organizations including IHH.
Various aid campaigns are being organized in Turkey as part of the Winter is coming… Bread and blankets for Syria” aid campaign, which has been organized by more than 200 relief organizations.
The delivery of aid items in Syria via trucks will continue in the upcoming days.
