Ramadan joy in Aceh

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation continues to take Ramadan relief donated by charity givers to the people in need in every part of the country.

The center of joy in Aceh was the İstanbul Orphanage Complex, which was opened by the IHH for the children in Aceh orphaned by a tsunami disaster.

Food was delivered to the residents of Cot Suruy, Melayu and Cot Kue regions in the surroundings of the complex. Around 1,000 people benefited from the iftar tables in addition to 250 families who received food aid.

In addition, food packages were delivered to the families in need and iftar tables were set up in Darussalam and Darul Imarah regions.

Eighty orphan girls staying at the İstanbul Orphanage Complex bought new clothes for them for the Eid and lived the joy of Eid al-Fitr earlier.

İstanbul Orphanage Complex

İstanbul Orphanage Complex was constructed for the children who lost their families in a tsunami disaster in East Asia on 26 December 2004. The orphanage complex, which was constructed on an area of 5,000 square-meters with nine blocs, was inaugurated on 23 November 2006 with an official ceremony. The orphanage complex meets a significant need in the region which was ravaged by the tsunami disaster.

Ships are ready, the Freedom Flotilla sail towards Gaza!

Bülent Yıldırım, the President of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), inspected two purchased ships for the International Freedom Flotilla. Yıldırım stated, "This cargo ship has a capacity of 5,500 tons and its name is Anadolu. It will carry our country's aid and compassion to Gaza. The name of other ship is Vicdan (Conscience). IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation’s “Goodness withstands the cold” winter campaign has distributed supplies such as coal, blankets, mattresses, food parcels, coats and boots to 15.744 families in north Syria.

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation provided assistance to 570,000 people in Syria in 2023.

Throughout the year, the IHH delivered 1,658 truckloads of humanitarian aid, weighing a total of 42,000 tons, to war-affected civilians living in various regions of Syria.
