IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation provided aid to 100 orphans in Tunisia.
This year marks the 5th anniversary for the "Orphan Solidarity Days" organization. Within this scope, IHH distributed food packages to 60 fortunate families in Tunisia. While the orphan children danced and played games, volunteers teams distributed balloons and presents to them.
IHH team member Mehmet Ergin stated that they are organizing aid programs with their Tunisian humanitarian aid partner Hayriye Association, within the scope of the "Orphan Solidarity Days."
Development projects for orphan families
Engin, stated that they have organized various projects with the scope of development projects for orphan families, during Orphan Solidarity Days. They have distributed 6 sowing machines for 6 families and 5 sheep to others. Engin also mentioned that they have opened a grocery stall. On the other hand, they distributed food packages and Qurban meat to 100 families.
Tunisian Association of Charity Officer Sami Yusuf stated that they have put a smile on the orphan children and their families during the "orphan month" through various charity events they have organized. He also mentioned that they want to provide hope for their future. Finally, Turkey's IHH team visited the Tunisian Ambassador Mehmet Celik.
IHH organizes various aid events for orphans in 41 different countries during February, March and April within the scope of the "Orphan Solidarity Days" program.
On the other hand, humanitarian aid organizations and charity associations in the Arab countries provide financial and moral support to orphan children and their families during April; "the orphan month."
