MiddleEast, Syria, Turkey 06.04.2013

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has launched an baby formula and food campaign for Syrian babies and children below the age of five, who are the little victims of the ongoing war in the country, with the slogan of “Don’t Let Syrian Babies Sleep Hungry.”

The crisis in Syria has been continuing for more than two years by growing further every day in the very eyes of the world. Thousands of year old historical cities are ravaged, Syrians are massacred and tortured, women are raped before the eyes of their husbands, tens of thousands of children are left without food and water in Syria where one of the rare massacres in the history is taking place.

While the number of those who were killed in the massacres is reported to have exceeded 70,000 so far, millions of people in the country are left without a home, food, water, medicine and the energy to continue their lives and they live as refugees. Infants and children are among the group which needs urgent care and attention most in Syria.

IHH, which has been at the side of Syrian people since the start of the unrest in the country, has launched a new campaign for hundreds of thousands of innocent children who sleep hungry.

The campaign, which has the web address of www.bebekleracuyumasin.com and the slogan “Don’t Let Syrian Babies Sleep Hungry,” aims to take special food to newly-born babies and children below the age of five. Charity givers who want to make donations to this campaign can do this at various amounts starting TL5.

Charity givers could also make their donations for these children by the use of the bank or postal accounts of IHH, by online donation or by submitting their donations in cash at IHH head office.
