UAE diplomat donates dates to Somalia
Yousuf Gharip al-Mahmood, a diplomat from the United Arab Emirates, has donated 10 tons of dates to the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation to be sent to famine-stricken Somalia.
Somalia 05.10.2011

Aid campaigns launched for Somalia continue at full speed since the holy Muslim month of Ramadan. Al-Mahmood donated dates to Somali people who have been hit by the worst drought and famine of the past 60 years.

Dates contain essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, required for normal growth, development and overall well-being. The fruits, which have been placed in the warehouses of the IHH, will be sent to Somalia with the next humanitarian aid ship which will set sail for the country.
