Balkans eagerly wait to mark Week of Holy Birth
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation will organize various events in the Balkans as part of the Week of the Holy Birth celebrations. The birth of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) will be commemorated in
Balkans 09.03.2010

Seminars and conferences featuring the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) will be held as part of the Week of the Holy Birth organization. Books on the life of the Prophet and copies of the Quran will be handed out. Treats will be offered to the people attending events. Roses as symbol of the Holy Birth will be distributed. Recitations from the Quran will be made.

Holy Birth events and activities are organized to better understand the Prophet Muhammad and strengthen feelings of solidarity, fraternity and helping in the society around the love of the Prophet.

The Week of the Holy Birth, which is widely observed in Turkey, is of great significance to Balkan countries, where cultural degeneration is extensive. Religious and opinion leaders of these countries view such holy days as an opportunity to tell people about Islam. However, in some countries with economic difficulties such events are rarely held. The IHH is offering support to nongovernmental organizations that want to organize activities in the Week of the Holy Birth. To this end, charitable people are urged to support such events, activities by donating to the foundation.
