The deadline for applications is May 21. The competition will have fiction, documentary and animation categories.
The IHH, which has been opening its arms for more than 23,000 children across 36 countries since 1992 thanks to its orphan relief activities in regions hit by wars, natural disasters or occupation, is organizing this competition in order to raise the awareness of the humanity about the issue of orphans and call on people to look after these children. The competition is titled “Holy Trusts: Our Orphans.”
The jury members of the competition will be renowned figures such as Derviş Zaim, İhsan Kabil, Rıdvan Şentürk, Semih Kaplanoğlu and Yusuf Kaplan.
The winners of the competition in the categories of fiction and documentary will be awarded with Sony NEX-FS100k video-camera while the winner of the animation category will be awarded with a 21.5 inch Apple iMac and a WACOM Cintiq 21 UX Pen Display. The director of the short film who wins the special jury award will be given a free travel to Africa. The recipients of the mansion awards will be given cameras and pen tablets.
We call on amateur or professional short film makers from across the world to tell a story for our children which we define as “our holy trusts.” You can begin telling this story, which has 165 million leading actors or actresses, from wherever you want!
